Title: Solutions Architect 

Location: Remote

JOB DESCRIPTION

As an ideal candidate, you will have deep focus on strategy, best practices and implementation related to Microsoft APIM platform and in particular APIM dev portal. You will assist in driving organizational commitment to the maturity and adoption of APIM platform and enhance platform’s security, maintainability, self-service and redundancy posture. You will also participate in hands on technical POC’s and evaluations of prospective new technologies to perform development of secure, scalable and robust enhancements to APIM platform while keeping an enterprise architecture mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Explore and POC various authentication & access techniques for Microsoft APIM portal and particularly in context of Microsoft APIM dev portal
  • Conduct POCs for Microsoft APIM Dev portal for both Microsoft hosted and client’s self-hosted options. Explore various access control techniques, core dev portal features and capabilities that can provide value to developers.
  • Assist with roadmaps, solutioning and design of various patterns for enabling internal & external users access to the client’s APIM platform in a secure manner
  • Perform technology research & evaluation, sharing perspectives on a solution’s suitability for APIM Platform and other enterprise applications
  • Provide technical consultation to Technology and Business stakeholders and product owners as appropriate
  • Create standards & principles and support the relevant governance frameworks

Requirements

  • Strong Microsoft APIM knowledge and experience
  • Strong exposure to Microsoft APIM Dev Portal or setting up dev portal in other technologies
  • Strong architecture mindset, platform management experience and documentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of various authentication and authorization techniques, API deployment, Swagger files and Postman
  • Front end technologies and UI experience preferred  
  • Experience in designing solutions using variety of modern technologies: .NET/C#, Microsoft Database technologies, Rest APIs, Soap/WCF Services etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information-technology, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of design and implementation experience in IT, with a deep knowledge of application development including APIs, middleware, database management, and building & managing cloud-based highly scalable solutions
  • Skilled communicator and negotiator with exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
