Job Title: Specialist, Enterprise Platforms – Operations
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 6 months
Department: Technology & Digital / Enterprise Platforms
About the Role
Our client in the aviation industry is seeking a hands-on, technically minded analyst to join their Enterprise Platforms team, supporting the core operational systems that keep their airline running smoothly—specifically systems related to flight tracking, crew scheduling, and day-of-operations planning.
In this role, you’ll work closely with operations teams, vendors, and internal IT to troubleshoot issues, improve workflows, and help ensure our airline operations stay on track. This role is ideal for someone with strong learning agility, a curious mindset, and a passion for solving problems in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a technical and functional support resource for core airline operations systems (e.g. flight tracking, crew scheduling, day-of-ops planning).
- Work with business users to understand issues, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable solutions.
- Configure, test, and support changes or updates in the system(s) in collaboration with vendors and IT colleagues.
- Analyze data, logs, and workflows to troubleshoot issues and recommend improvements.
- Support system upgrades, patches, and new feature rollouts.
- Help ensure system data quality and process alignment with business needs.
- Document key processes, configurations, and support protocols.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across operations, crew planning, and technology.
Requirements:
- A technically curious and proactive mindset—someone who’s not afraid to dig into a system and figure things out.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex workflows and troubleshoot issues.
- Experience supporting or working with operational systems, ideally in an airline, transit, logistics, or similar real-time operational environment.
- Comfort working with vendors and internal IT teams to troubleshoot issues and implement changes.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Nice to Haves
- Familiarity with airline operational systems such as Navblue, Sabre, Amadeus, or similar platforms.
- Experience with crew scheduling, flight tracking, or airline day-of-ops support.
- Exposure to system integrations or working in environments with multiple connected platforms.
- Basic understanding of system configuration, scripting, or querying tools (e.g., SQL, XML, APIs) is a plus.
