Accounts Receivable is a crucial team within the Global Business Services (GBS) organization, responsible for managing all crucial receivable activities for all the brands within the group starting with managing the billing collections via EFT’s and daily draws and clearing of the debtor balances, issuance of manual credit and debit notes, manual sales upload and adjustment activities, bad debt management and engaging with different stakeholders and managing finance queries on billing and collections for Global Business Services to improve the customer’s experience with our services.  

Our client is looking for an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join order to cash department. Primary tasks in this role include invoicing and reconciling customer accounts. Other duties include issuing credit notes, creating AR bad debt reports, cash on account management and help/ assist our offshore team. 

The Analyst, Accounts receivable, reports to the Manager, Accounts Receivable. In addition, the position works with other functions within the organization including Global Business Services, IT, Finance, Accounting, and others.

In this role, you will be able to leverage your accounting and accounts receivable expertise to drive impact for a team that executes billions of dollars of transactions each year for RBI. You will drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and deliver adhoc projects to increase efficiency. 

Responsibilities  

  • Maintains and reconciles AR ledger and prepares monthly/ quarterly reconciliation reports 

  • Monitor and reconcile all over age accounts (bad debt) and prepare report monthly 

  • Manage cash on account balance and discuss with business  

  • Oversee cheque management 

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies and ensure all team members are following them 

  • Training and mentoring of offshore team and assist them on daily basis 

  • Assist/ lead project that AR leading 

  • Prepare and analyze AR PBCs for audit purposes reports 

  • Adhoc inquiries from business and any escalations from business needs to be addressed 

Qualifications: 

  • CPA completed or in-process, BA/BS degree in a business field – Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or equivalent 

  • Preferred professional experience in accounts receivable 

  • Intermediate to Advanced ability in Microsoft Office applications especially hands-on experience with Advanced MS excel 

  • Strong experience over SAP-FI module 

  • Hands-on experience developing technical solutions for a large multinational corporation or a fast-growing startup, preferably in QSR, CPG, financial services, or related industry 

  • Proven ability to communicate and partner with both technical and non-technical teams to influence strategy 

 

 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$26.00 and CA$33.00
