Role Profile
Senior Business Systems Analyst will play a role in mobilizing DevOps Cloud transformation.  Working with a team of 25+, primarily technology (Application Engineers and Solution Architects) to document requirements for DevOps.   The candidate will be required to follow the lead of the SVP, Canadian Application Delivery and asset owners.
 

  • Leads, develops and orchestrates the overall analysis, scoping, estimating and planning for large or complex initiatives.
  • Leads the elicitation and validation of business requirements impacting multiple products using various methods, techniques and tools.
  • Leads and facilitates meetings, walkthroughs, workshops, and reviews of deliverables.
  • Develops and delivers training & support materials for affected stakeholders.
  • Leads the troubleshooting & resolution of complex problems to determine root cause and possible solutions, requiring the identification and analysis of alternative courses of action, involving the development of new approaches, tactics and initiatives.
  • Leads configuration, prototyping, data modeling activities for complex projects or products.
  • Develops and validates solution design, product configuration, or package criteria with business stakeholders.
  • Partners with the QA team to ensure test strategies, plans and processes align with the business requirements and enables.
  • Ensures solutions and configurations meet business requirements and enterprise-level policy guidance (e.g. architecture, security, risk) and ensures the translation of those processes, needs and requirements.

 
Specific Skill/Knowledge:

  • 8+ years experience as Business Systems Analyst in a team environment.
  • Proficient experience with:
  • Collecting requirements and translating them into software product designs and specifications.
  • Test-driven development and test frameworks.
  • Experience with adapting methods to meet specific project or product needs.
  • University or College education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Active pursuit of related industry certifications is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies (eg Waterfall, Iterative, Agile).
  • Working knowledge of business processes across systems.
  • Proficient knowledge of strategies for gathering, analyzing, and validating requirements
  • Proficient business acumen and knowledge of related industry business functions.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$90.00 and CA$108.00
