Job Title: Sr. Estimator – Buildings
Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: Fulltime
Opportunity:
As an experienced Estimator working in the Building Operations team at our clients organization, you will support new and ongoing project growth and challenge industry standards with your trade-driven expertise and knowledge. Working on large-scale building and projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will work closely with our proposals team and various client groups to secure bids and ensure project success.
The role:
• Contribute to the bid process cycle.
• Accurately interpret technical specifications with a keen eye for detail.
• Perform thorough quantity take-offs to ensure precise contract specifications and pricing.
• Maintain a focus on client pricing requirements for project feasibility.
• Cultivate relationships with trade partners, consultants, and clients to achieve project goals.
• Explore innovative solutions and opportunities within the parameters of the project.
• Conduct thorough reviews of the project scope to ensure the estimate is complete and all technical specifications, subcontractor scopes, and general condition items are covered.
Experience:
• 7+ years of relevant estimating experience in the construction industry
• Experience working for a General Contractor is considered an asset.
• Local BC Experience is considered an asset.
• A University Degree, College Diploma or certificate in Engineering or Construction Management. (Or a combination of education and industry experience).
• A proven track record of project coordination and team collaboration.
• Experience building relationships with industry and project stakeholders.
• A comprehensive understanding of the bid process cycle.
• Critical research skills used for identifying and analyzing project-specific expenses.
• Expertise in quantity take-offs to guarantee accuracy in contract specifications and pricing.
• Experience of working with On Screen Take off and Sage is considered a strong asset
• Understand different bid processes and contract delivery type methods.
• Take full lead on tenders valued up to $300 million using various delivery methods.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$100,000 and CA$135,000
