Key Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and improve software, applying modern software development practices when possible.
- Participating in code reviews and testing and identifying code defects for remediation.
- Collaborate with team members to help triage product or system issues.
- Actively participate in planning, Refinements, Retrospectives, and other team activities.

- Pragmatic individual who codes for reliability and maintainability but knows when a shortcut is needed or not to achieve outcomes in a timely manner.

- Versatile individual who willing to play multiple roles, be uncomfortable, make, own and fix mistakes quickly.
Experience
- 5+ years of industry experience
- Experience with Java or similar OOO language
- Experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular Vue) and Typescript
- Understanding of modern web architectures and patterns (HTTP, REST, MVC, MVVM, API)
- Experience working with relational SQL databases and ORM/persistence frameworks such as MyBatis or Hybernate
- Experience working with developer tools such as Git, Code editors such as IntelliJ, VSCode and leveraging AI for coding
- Experience using JIRA or similar tools to track work
- Experience working with AWS or other cloud provider
- Experience with mobile application development a plus
Education
Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$110,000 and CA$120,000
