Job Title: Sr. Microsoft Fabric Architect

Description of Assignment
Working under the supervision of the Business Intelligence Technical Team Lead, the Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for designing and developing business intelligence solutions and/or enhancing and supporting existing solutions. They will follow the client’s design & development methodologies and documentation standards.
This work assignment is scoped to address work associated with the BI Enablement project. This assignment required the incumbent to be on site 2 to 3 days a week.
Skills and Certifications
Mandatory Requirements:
• A university degree in Computer Science, or the equivalent, combined with directly related experience in a business or computer related discipline. Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Business Intelligence developer.
• Microsoft’s Fabric PL-600 or PL-700 certification and/or equivalent is required.
Other Skills / Certifications Required:
• MicroStrategy professional certification is an asset.
• Extensive hands-on experience developing business intelligence solutions; semantic layers, schemas, dashboards, and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
• Experience configuring and administering Microsoft Power BI environments and implementing deployment pipelines.
• Experience working as a BI developer on large Enterprise projects using Microsoft Azure, Synapse, and database related services coupled to Microsoft Power BI
• Hands-on experience developing business intelligence solutions; data cubes, schemas, dashboards and reports using MicroStrategy 2020 or later is an asset.
• Experience working with SQL Server 2019 or later.
• Good understanding of data modelling techniques relates to interfacing BI platforms to data warehouse solutions.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps.
• Well-developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees.
Assignment Duties
• Work with the Business Intelligence & Analytics team in designing, developing, maintaining the Business Intelligence and Enterprise Data platforms and associated solutions.
• Responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and documenting Microsoft Power BI semantic layer, dashboards, and reports.
• Responsible for modelling data, designing, and creating datasets using Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric Tools.
• Responsible for supporting end users with the Microsoft Power BI.
• Work closely with the business analyst(s), and other team members to understand, and deliver on, requirements.
• Convert business requirements to technical specifications.
• Research, document, and share knowledge with the project team.
• Provide accurate time estimates for work to be undertaken.
• Create project documentation according to the Project Management Office Standards.
• Work on other project tasks as assigned.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$70.00 and CA$100.00
