The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units on time, scope and budget.  This includes coordination of internal resources and third-party contractors or consultants. The Senior Project Manager will also lead discovery activities.
 Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage medium to large-scale projects defining project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior IT management, business leaders and stakeholders using ePMO processes and procedures.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools and ensure constant communication to all stakeholders involved
  • Prepare project artifacts (charters, project plan, RAID logs, financials, etc.) in accordance with ePMO process and tool standards.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Manage and coordinate third-party vendors and other external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders nationally to align systems and procedures for different functions. 

Education/Experience:

  • Must Have
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
    • Post-secondary degree (computer science preferred)
    • Minimum 5-10 years of experience managing business/technology related projects
    • Led two or more financial system projects involving implementation of solutions in the following areas:
      • Accounts Payable (i.e., Finance ERP solution such as Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or other ERP solutions – SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.)
      • Expense Management (i.e., Emburse, Concur, or others)
      • Budgeting & Forecasting (i.e., Workday Adaptive Insights)
    • Led two or more complex system integration projects
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and lead across a matrix organization on execution of projects and projects that touch multiple functions
    • Experience conducting project discovery activities
    • Strong organization and team-oriented skills.
  • Other
    • Experience in managing Capital Market technology projects, preferably related to surveillance platforms (experience in trading platforms and real time messaging protocols such as FIX/SAIL are also beneficial). 
    • Previous experience in financial services industry
    • Experience with Project Management Tools (i.e. MS PPM/Project, Clarizen, Clarity, Planview)
