Job Title: Sr. Server Analyst

Location: Oakville, ON (Hybrid)

Estimated Duration: 5 Months

Our client is a leader in the major Utility industry in Canada.  We are looking to hire a contractor for an initial 6 month contract assignment with a high chanced of extension for more term.  The position is for a Sr. Server Analyst to join the Infrastruture team at our client.  This is an immediate need for our client.   One day per week is expected in Office.   

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Server Analyst with deep expertise in Microsoft enterprise technologies and identity management. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical leadership in Active Directory, Office 365, and Windows Server, with proven experience implementing secure and compliant solutions in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support Active Directory and related identity services, including Enterprise DNS, Certificate Services, and DHCP.
  • Manage and optimize Azure Entra ID and AD FS configurations.
  • Provide expert administration of Office 365, with emphasis on Exchange Online, JML processing, licensing, and Microsoft Purview.
  • Maintain and support Windows Server 2016 and newer environments.
  • Implement and enforce RBAC and IAM security best practices.
  • Configure and support identity verification, authentication, SSO, and MFA technologies (e.g., PingIdentity).
  • Harden operating systems to align with compliance frameworks and security mandates.
  • Utilize Quest Tools (Change Auditor, Report Manager, Active Administrator) to monitor, report, and maintain AD health.

Qualifications

  • Expert-level knowledge of Active Directory and related Windows Server roles.
  • Strong proficiency with Azure Entra ID, AD FS, and Office 365 administration.
  • Proven experience in identity security, including MFA, SSO, and IAM practices.
  • Hands-on experience with OS hardening and compliance-driven system security.
  • Familiarity with Quest Tools for auditing and administration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in fast-paced, enterprise-scale environments.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$70.00 and CA$80.00
