Senior Software Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for mentoring junior developers. You'll play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality software solutions that support our company’s mission and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable software applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Architects, QA and Product Owner to deliver high-quality products.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.
- Participate in architectural discussions and help define technical strategy and best practices.
- Review code for quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Ensure security and data protection practices are embedded in development processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in .NET Core, C#, .NET, JavaScript, etc.
- Practical experience and understanding of communication protocols and data formats: RESTful, SOAP, JSON, XML, WSDL/XSD, WebSocket, etc.
- Experience in modern Azure cloud-native technologies: Function App, App Service, Service Bus, APIM, ADLS2, etc.
- Solid understanding and database design (SQL and/or NoSQL).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, ARM templates, DevOps practices.
- Proficient in version control tools like GitHub.
- Excellent debugging and optimization skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$70.00 and CA$85.00
