Job Title: System Administrator II – Blackline

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)

Estimated Duration: 6 Months

Overview

We are seeking an experienced BlackLine Transformation & Integration Consultant to support the integration of BlackLine into the JD Edwards ERP environment. This role will act as a strategic advisor and functional expert, driving process optimization, system enhancements, and adoption of best practices to improve efficiency across accounts payable and financial operations.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in BlackLine transformations, ERP integrations, and organizational change, with a focus on reducing rework, increasing productivity, and ensuring seamless financial processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the integration of BlackLine with JD Edwards (JDE ERP), ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements
  • Provide strategic advisory on BlackLine capabilities, including roadmap planning, system enhancements, and functional scope expansion
  • Identify opportunities to reduce rework, streamline processes, and improve workload productivity across finance operations
  • Drive optimization of AP processes and ensure a smooth, efficient financial close cycle
  • Support BlackLine configuration and transformation activities, including coding changes, ledger setup, and system stabilization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and adoption of best practices
  • Partner with training specialists to design and develop training materials, particularly for intercompany processes
  • Deliver insights and recommendations to bring a fresh perspective to BlackLine utilization and value realization
  • Support governance, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts post-integration

Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • 5+ years of experience in BlackLine transformation initiatives, including:
    • Coding changes and configurations
    • Ledger management
    • System stabilization and optimization
    • ERP integration (beyond basic user-level experience)
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end BlackLine implementations or enhancements
  • Hands-on experience with BlackLine training, especially within intercompany processes
  • Ability to advise stakeholders strategically on BlackLine functionality, best practices, and process improvements
  • Strong understanding of financial close, reconciliation, and AP workflows

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

  • Experience integrating BlackLine with ERP systems (JD Edwards or similar strongly preferred)
  • Background in supporting large-scale organizational change initiatives
  • Experience working in complex, enterprise environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and change management skills

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $55.00 and $75.00
