Duties:

Identify, analyze, and accurately update tax calculations and forms within the software by creating detailed specification for engineers –
Test tax calculations/user experience/form display changes within the software. –
Apply tax, accounting and business knowledge to develop/improve new software features –
Work with federal/provincial tax authorities to certify our tax products. –
Participate in the development and documentation of key operational processes and checklists, and product specifications. –
Work with customer support representatives to resolve customer issues and deal directly with clients, as needed. –
Able to effectively prioritize individual and team work to ensure delivery of product features with the highest quality and customer value.

Skills:

3 to 5 years of experience preparing and/or reviewing federal and provincial corporate T2 tax returns –
While not a preferred candidate, will consider experience with T1/TP1 tax returns – Strong background in tax research and analysis and a deep understanding of Canadian tax law. –
Excellent written and spoken communication skills – Ability to effectively communicate technical information and complex tax issues in non-technical language for consumption inside and outside of the organization. –
Comprehensive understanding and use of tax preparation software

Post-secondary education in accounting, finance or equivalent. –
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or enrollment in CPA certification program is an asset.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$42.00 and CA$52.00
