Terminal Manager
Location: Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania

Overview:
Our client seeks a dedicated Terminal Manager to oversee bulk terminal operations at their Fairless Hills facility. This leadership role involves managing all aspects of terminal business, including operations, maintenance, customer relationships, budgeting, and profit and loss. The Terminal Manager will lead a diverse team, coordinate with various stakeholders, and ensure efficient, safe, and compliant terminal operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop supervisors and employees for safe handling of bulk commodities via marine, rail, and motor carrier.
  • Ensure terminal operations comply with safety and environmental standards while maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and cost optimization to meet business objectives.
  • Foster and promote a strong safety culture among employees.
  • Act as a liaison between commercial teams and customers to grow and maintain business relationships.
  • Oversee training programs for employees and standardize operating procedures for terminal activities.
  • Direct maintenance, engineering, and support teams to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Investigate and resolve operational incidents and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Respond to terminal activities as needed on a 24/7 basis.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing terminal operations handling bulk materials.
  • Proven ability to lead union and non-union employees, with experience supervising department managers.
  • Extensive knowledge of stevedoring, warehousing, and vessel-related activities.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with a customer-focused approach.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., D.O.T., USCG, F.R.A., F.D.A.) for material handling and transportation.
  • Technical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues, including cranes and heavy machinery.
  • Proficiency in PC applications like Word and Excel.
  • Experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets.
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed and maintain a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory record.
  • Physically capable of performing tasks such as climbing stairs/ladders and lifting loads, while wearing PPE.
