Job Description:
We’re on the lookout for a motivated Traffic Analysis Engineer (PE) to join our dynamic team. Our office is experiencing significant expansion and is engaged in a multitude of challenging projects across the region. As a Traffic Engineer with us, you’ll collaborate closely with a skilled and dedicated team, honing your expertise in traffic engineering through hands-on experience.
You will lead a team of junior engineers and be able to work in a client-facing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct a variety of traffic engineering studies, including transportation safety assessments, planning studies, and traffic operations analyses.
- Engage in projects spanning from small-scale rural intersection studies to the development of intricate solutions for urban arterial networks and major freeway systems.
- Utilize tools such as Synchro and SimTraffic, among others, to strategize, visualize, analyze, and monitor traffic projects effectively.
- Develop signal timing plans for individual intersections and corridors, ensuring optimal traffic flow.
- Draft design plans for traffic control devices, encompassing traffic signals, signage, pavement markings, temporary traffic management measures, lighting systems, and Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) including signal timing and phasing.
- Conduct traffic operational analyses and impact assessments for governmental agencies.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of traffic engineering principles and operations.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $150.00 and $130,000
