Job Title: US Payroll Analyst

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
    
Estimated Duration: 6 months

Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced US Payroll Analyst to manage weekly and biweekly payroll processes for ~3,300 US employees across multiple states. The ideal candidate will ensure payroll compliance, accurate processing, and provide exceptional support to employees and stakeholders. This position requires advanced knowledge of US payroll regulations, experience with large ERP systems (Workday preferred), and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly and biweekly payroll for US employees (union and non-union).

  • Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and company practices.

  • Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting (monthly, biweekly, quarterly).

  • Manage the payroll inbox, resolve payroll inquiries, and handle garnishments.

  • Address rejected deposits in ADP and process off-cycle/termination payments as needed.

  • Liaise with ADP Smart Compliance to resolve payroll issues and ensure compliance.

  • Support quarterly and annual tax filing, including W-2 processing and taxable adjustments.

  • Review time entry issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve payroll discrepancies.

  • Support SOX Reporting and maintain documentation/control standards.

  • Handle sensitive payroll information with utmost discretion.

  • Provide payroll support to the Canada team as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of US payroll experience in a multi-state environment.

  • Solid knowledge of US payroll regulations and experience researching/ensuring compliance.

  • Experience with quarterly tax reporting and filings in the US.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, SharePoint).

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with proven ability to handle confidential information.

  • Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications & Assets:

  • FPC or CPP certification is a strong asset.

  • Experience with Workday or other large ERP payroll systems; SAP experience is an asset.

  • Experience with HR Service Now.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $40.00 and $45.00
