Position Title: Capital Markets – Business Analyst – IT
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Business group: GBME – Commodities, FX Options & Derivatives Technology: Global Banking and Markets Engineering (GBME) is the fast-moving, award-winning technology engine that powers client’s Corporate and Investment Banking and Capital Markets businesses.

Candidate Value Proposition
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technology and expand their product expertise and FX applications. They will also have exposure to all of the FX/eFX /FXO applications utilized at GBM client.
Typical Day in Role:
- Respond to user queries, triage requests, and debug reported issues to support day to day functionality of Murex FXO system from front to back
- Gather requirements, develop test plan, and support delivery for prioritized enhancements
- Consistently communicate with multiple stakeholders including front facing users, downstream, and vendor contacts to coordinate ongoing work
- Support ongoing maintenance of JIRA and ServiceNow spaces and contributing/ensuring BAU documentation remains up to date
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
- 6+ years as a Support Analyst and/or BA/BSA experience
- 3+ years recent Capital Markets experience including hands-on front-to-back-office workflow exposure (Trading, Risks, Back Office, Regulation, front office)
- 3+ years’ experience conducting BAU hands-on support for capital market users, working with users, triaging issues & coordinate resolution with multiple teams, and requirement gathering.
- Direct hands-on exposure/experience with Murex system
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Wallstreet or any FX/eFX/FX Options experience is a strong asset
- Databases: MS-SQL is a strong asset
- Experience with FX
- Unix/Linux Bash scripting experience is an asset
- Experience designing, developing, and implementing ETL tools
Soft Skills:
- The candidate must also possess good analytical, problem solving and communication skills, and be able to interact efficiently with other team members and the user community. The candidate should also be a quick learner, self-motivated and results oriented, and able to work independently.
- Strong aptitude to work with multiple teams in a fast paced environment
Degrees or certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as finance, commerce, mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science, computer engineering or related field required
Best Vs Average: Candidates should have strong experience as part of a daily support team for front to back end trading workflow (real time support rather than project support capacity). Murex experience is also a requirement for this role (hands on system user, rather than downstream use of Murex).
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$95.00 and CA$110.00
