JOB TITLE: Java Developer
Length: 12 months (extendable)
Location: Downtown Toronto (2-3 days per week onsite)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Java/Scala Developer with experience in electronic trading platforms, preferably in fixed income, to join our global eTrading team. The ideal candidate will have strong Core Java or Scala expertise, the ability to debug and enhance existing code, and exposure to low-latency trading environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance and debug existing trading systems, extending functionality and resolving issues as needed.
- Collaborate with global teams across Canada, New York, London, Paris, India, and APAC to develop and optimize eTrading solutions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and support.
- Provide production support on a rotational basis, ensuring stability and performance of trading applications.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Core Java or Scala.
- Experience working with electronic trading platforms (preferably in fixed income).
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to ION Trading platform.
- Experience with low-latency programming and performance tuning.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$100.00 and CA$110.00
