Job Title: Maximo Technical Architect (Work Management System Lead)
Duration: 12 months +
Location: Toronto, ON
Assignment Duties:
1. Provide technical architecture, technical designs, solutions, and technical
information related to industry trends to lead all functional and technical aspects of IBM Maximo solution development, including design of custom applications and technical interfaces ensuring quality of the implementation
2. Develop work management technical strategy/ framework, criteria and key
design decision documents which can be applied across divisional processes while gathering requirements, mapping business processes, solution design and
implementing change management.
3. Recommend Changes to procedures which result in operational optimization
4. Participate in root cause analysis reviews when applicable
5. Promote shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flows, and ensure no duplicated infrastructure or divergence from business and IT strategies.
6. Provide guidance for developing technical strategy for legacy data
conversion, data migration, data conversion, functional specifications, and data mapping
7. Support test case development, application testing and functional and unit
tests.
8. Responsible for supporting implementation as the Maximo Technical Subject Matter Expert. This is an essential component to ensure project success.
Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 10 years of experience with the implementation of Work Management Systems 10 years of IBM Maximo experience with accredited Certification
- Extensive experience supporting the implementation and sustainment of large-scale IT solutions including analysis, architecture, design, testing and rollout.
- Considerable experience with Work Management System implementation or integrated solution support that serves the areas of asset management and plant maintenance, including planning, program management, project delivery, contract/vendor management, cost recovery, service requests and work orders using web, geospatial and mobile technology.
- Considerable experience with Work Management System implementation for Water Utilities or similar environments (manufacturing, nuclear, power, other utility) is a definite asset.
- Minimum five (5) years of application systems experience performing requirements elicitation and analysis, subject matter expert interviews, facilitating workshops with business stakeholders, and documenting business requirements for large-scale technology implementation projects.
- Strong, demonstrated knowledge of non-functional requirements such as performance, loading, privacy and security impacts of data and reports.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience evaluating, recommending and documenting business workflow, procedures, roles & responsibilities and systems integration and conversion strategies. Considerable experience documenting “asis” and designing “to-be” business processes, utilizing Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) standard.
- Experience in QA and testing techniques, including planning, creating test data and conducting functional testing, facilitating UAT and other types of testing in an enterprise environment; experience with HP ALM suite would be an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of current and emerging information & technology concepts such as mobile computing, GUI design principles, document management, business/data modelling methodologies, information management, data analysis, business intelligence, Agile methodologies and DevOps in a multiple-tiered, multiple-platform, network centric computing environment.
- Extensive experience with Asset Management Decision Support Systems for Water Utilities or similar.
- Extensive experience with deployment of off-line mobile solutions, including the integration with a Work Management System, for Water Utilities or similar.
- Experience with a GIS based Mobile Solution like Trimble Unity, is a definite asset.
- Demonstrated experience using some of the following or equivalent tools and methodologies is required. Examples include Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Oracle Database, SAP HR, SAP Financials, SAP BOBJ, ESRI ArcGIS, HP ALM, MS Share Point, Blueprint, BPMN, Microsoft Office 365 Tools
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$110.00 and CA$125.00
