Overview

Data is at the core of intelligent decision-making, operational efficiency, and business growth. Are you passionate about transforming raw data into actionable insights and enabling seamless system integration?
Our client in the aviation space is seeking a Data Integration Developer, who will be instrumental in transitioning legacy data warehouse workloads to a modern Data & Analytics (D&A) platform built on a Data Lakehouse architecture. This role focuses on building scalable pipelines, system integrations via APIs, and ensuring data quality, accessibility, and governance to support enterprise-wide business needs.
You will collaborate closely with business, product, and technology teams to implement domain-driven, high-impact data solutions aligned with strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects, team leads, and domain experts to define, document, and refine data requirements aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain APIs and data services to enable self-serve data access for business users, in compliance with architectural standards and governance frameworks.
  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable, reusable ETL/ELT pipelines tailored to business domains, ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategies.
  • Enhance and evolve data models in both the legacy data warehouse and modern Data Lakehouse environment.
  • Implement automated validation and monitoring processes to ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency.
  • Provide best practices, tools, and support for effective data analysis and insights generation.
  • Participate in Agile product teams and collaborate with cross-functional teams across business and technology.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of data flows, logic, and governance protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues in collaboration with platform teams, following a shared ownership approach.
  • Support multiple concurrent initiatives across departments and provide after-hours support for critical production processes when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 7+ years of SQL development and data modeling experience, including structured and semi-structured data (e.g., JSON, Parquet, Avro).
  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., AWS Glue, Matillion, SSIS) and pipeline development.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS (e.g., S3, Lambda, Redshift, RDS, Athena, Kinesis, EMR).
  • Proficient in Python for scripting and automation.
  • Proven experience transitioning data environments from traditional warehouses to Lakehouse architectures.
  • 5+ years integrating systems via REST APIs and event-driven architectures.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and security practices.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Analytics).
  • Experience with performance tuning, debugging, and unit testing.
  • Experience using tools such as JIRA and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Ability to develop clear documentation and user guides for technical and non-technical audiences.
