Title: Senior Specialized IT Consultant
Duration: 6 months
Location: Toronto, ON (2 days a week onsite)
As a Sr. Specialized IT Consultant, you will help our transit client to strategically and tactically implement data pipelines and infrastructure. You will also contribute to the development of their Data Strategy as a part of the Transit Ops Data team.
Responsibilities:
– Works in partnership with internal customers, advising them on information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems
– Defines data strategy and provides guidance to improve structure and efficiency of I&IT systems
– Provides subject matter expertise in the field of Information Management & IT technology, in particular, data lake house, pipelines, and analytics
General Skills:
– Acts as the technical advisor/expert on all aspects of data strategy
– Develops processes and procedures for implementing data strategy, integration, and ingestion
– Ensures data architecture and pipelines are built based on standard technology and follow approved patterns, and ensuring high quality, reliability, and performance
– Anticipates and resolves problems to ensure that the deliverables are completed within budget, to the highest quality, meeting or exceeding expectations
– Works with internal clients to define the requirements for data and integrations
– Prepares reports and presentations including options, recommendations, implementation plans, etc.
– Familiar with change-management principles and methodology
– Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices
– Continuous improvement mindset
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$95.00 and CA$110.00
