Position Title: Business Systems Analyst
Location: Downtown Toronto – Hybrid
As the Business Systems Analyst for the Ministry of Health and Health Network System (HNS) managed service, you will:
Work in a client-facing role with Solution Manager in a fast-paced team environment where we are managing multiple projects and client requirements on an ongoing basis
Assist the client with business requirements, technical requirements, and design
Serve as a key conduit to business stakeholders for solution requirements and analysis, and to work with solution architects/delivery team members to define and manage requirements Gather using standard methodology; provide business and application expertise,
Document and maintain the Requirements and present to all impacted stakeholders
Review work requests and ensure requirements are aligned with business needs
Perform impact analysis on incoming work requests and assist with estimation exercises
Participate in the development of implementation strategies and plans, review detailed design specifications
Author user documentation and support training as needed
Expected to be able to attend meetings and be comfortable working with various levels within stakeholder organizations
The successful candidate will have a strong analytical and consultative mindset, a thorough understanding of the application tiers, network and IT architecture, and data visualization, understand drug and pharmacy industry, and possess strong planning, documentation and reporting skills. One must be self-sufficient, fast-paced, and have a passion for scaling operations through automation.

Reviewing work requests and managing the intake process and ensuring requirements are aligned with business and solution vision
Expertise in creating clear and detailed Business Requirements, Use Cases and System Functional Requirement documents
Work as a subject matter expert to review requirements for the new work request and collaborate with the client, project managers, technical resources, and product manager to define the requirements
Provide subject matter expertise to guide the solution design and contribute to the overall requirements
Interfaces with Business Stakeholders and IT teams to define, gather, and document business processes and needs; translating into detailed documentation
Work with team to provide work estimate and clearly communicate the estimate to the client
Participate and take ownership for high quality internal IT and business unit stakeholder communication meetings
Work effectively with the development team to resolve the business need with an appropriate solution that will meet the business requirements
Software Requirements Specification – Functional, non-Functional and Transition, using appropriate BSA modelling techniques, like: use cases, user stories, lead and contribute to the testing/quality processes from test strategy to functional testing including building test automation
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$50.00 and CA$60.00
