Job Title: Business Analyst – Payments & Loyalty Domain
Location: 3 days onsite downtown Toronto
Type: expected 6-month contract
Experience Level: 5–15 years

About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst with strong expertise in the Payments domain and ideally experience in Loyalty systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in defining, analyzing, and delivering product and system requirements across agile teams, working closely with stakeholders, developers, and QA professionals to support high-impact technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, document, and refine business requirements.
  • Write clear, concise, and detailed epics and user stories to support Agile development processes.
  • Conduct gap analysis, data mapping, and support system design discussions.
  • Assist in defining data-related requirements, especially for database-heavy implementations.
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements and support their successful implementation.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives).
  • Use SQL at an intermediate level to validate data, support analysis, and facilitate system integration discussions.
  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5–15 years of experience as a Business Analyst in complex system environments.
  • Strong domain knowledge in Payments is mandatory; experience in Loyalty systems is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working within an Agile development environment.
  • Proven expertise in writing epics and user stories with a focus on clarity and completeness.
  • Intermediate proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data modeling and mapping concepts.
  • Experience working on system implementations, integrations, or database-driven projects.

                                                                                                                                               
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to Generative AI (GenAI) or AI/ML initiatives is an asset.
  • Prior experience in Fintech or digital banking environments is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$70.00 and CA$80.00
