Are you an experienced engineering professional ready to take the next step in your career? Join a collaborative, community-focused, and award-winning engineering consultancy where mentorship, professional development, and meaningful work come together. This is an opportunity to work on high-impact building projects across commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors, all while growing within a supportive and dynamic team.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer – Buildings with project management experience and a passion for delivering thoughtful, innovative solutions. You’ll be involved in the full project lifecycle — from design to implementation — focusing on power distribution, lighting systems, and more within a multidisciplinary team.

You’ll also play a key role in mentoring junior staff, contributing to business development efforts, and managing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare electrical design drawings (e.g., title blocks, base plans, SLDs, panel layouts, riser diagrams)

  • Perform engineering calculations and apply relevant codes and standards

  • Create and manage detailed design documents using AutoCAD or Revit

  • Develop electrical specifications through up-to-date research and adherence to company standards

  • Conduct site visits, preliminary reviews, and construction progress inspections

  • Lead or support proposal development with detailed scope, budgets, and schedules

  • Oversee project management tasks including timelines, document control, invoicing, and coordination across disciplines

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario

  • 10–15 years of relevant experience in building systems within a consulting environment

  • Strong experience with AutoCAD; Revit experience is an asset

  • Understanding of the Ontario Building Code and Ontario Electrical Safety Code

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with project management and client engagement

  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently

  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with fire alarm, IT/communications, and security systems

  • Previous involvement in business development or proposal writing

Why Join Us

  • Competitive compensation, benefits, RRSP matching, and profit sharing

  • Flexible work arrangements and emphasis on work-life balance

  • Vacation starting at 3 weeks (prorated in your first year)

  • Supportive, inclusive environment with ongoing mentorship and training

  • Reimbursement for annual professional dues

  • Regular team events and social outings

  • Involvement in rewarding projects with real community impact
