Senior Policy Analyst
Our client in the public sector is seeking a Senior Policy Analyst to support their Technology Services Division’s Digital Policy & CTO team. This role will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of technology policies and/or procedures. This includes undertaking a broad range of research and the development and/or implementation of enterprise technology policies including but not limited to the following: Acceptable Use, ITAM, Artificial Intelligence, Data governance and Digital Equity. The role may also include supporting outreach/engagement/change management activities related to these policy domains.
Assignment Duties
Senior Policy Analyst responsibilities:
1. Conduct research and develop policy options and recommendations.
2. Undertake the design, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of corporate-wide technology policy and procedures.
3. Conduct best practice research on topical information and technology trends to inform policy options, recommendations etc.
4. Provide professional consulting and advisory services to the related teams and work groups
5. Facilitate and negotiate agreement between and among various parties and stakeholders to achieve common goals for the delivery of service, policy solutions and products, and related programs
Qualifications
It is important that the Services be undertaken by a Senior Policy Analyst who can demonstrate specific knowledge of, and experience in performing similar work for projects of comparable nature, size and scope as detailed below.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Extensive experience in qualitative/quantitative research, policy development, analysis, interpretation of data and awareness of relevant legislation.
2. Extensive experience leading and delivering complex projects related to planning, policy and research studies in sectors including technology and data.
3. Experience in the preparation and drafting of reports, summaries, and presentations.
4. Exceptionally strong and well-developed writing skills. Strong organizational and time management skills.
Deliverables
Develop and implement enterprise technology policies in key domains, including Acceptable Use, IT Asset Management (ITAM), Artificial Intelligence, Data Governance, and Digital Equity.
Deliver finalized policy documents aligned with organizational standards and approved by relevant governance bodies.
Support and execute outreach, engagement, and change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new or updated policies.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$90.00 and CA$95.00
