Job Title: Electrical Engineer IV
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)

Position Overview:
The Senior Electrical Engineer leads the design and oversight of electrical and controls systems for expansion and maintenance capital projects. This role ensures designs meet company standards, industry codes, and project budgets, while coordinating with internal teams and external engineering firms to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable facilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and review electrical systems for large industrial compressor and turbine stations (10,000–30,000 HP), including high-voltage (480V–4160V) and low-voltage systems.

Specify and integrate PLC-based control systems (Allen-Bradley or equivalent) and operator interfaces (Wonderware).

Oversee instrumentation and control devices: transmitters, valves, PID loops, ESD systems, and safety detectors.

Manage third-party engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with standards, schedule, and budget.

Review vendor materials and technical evaluations, recommending equipment based on technical merit, cost, and delivery.

Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and startup.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to departmental initiatives.

Ensure all designs comply with regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in electrical engineering and project management.

Experience with large industrial motor and turbine systems, high-voltage distribution, and PLC/control integration.

Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
Working Conditions:

Office-based with occasional field visits requiring PPE.

Deadline-driven environment with multiple concurrent projects.

May require overnight travel.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $75.00 and $80.00
