Job Overview
We are seeking a senior-level Application Developer with deep expertise in the C# .NET ecosystem, strong database capabilities, and experience delivering high-quality software in Agile SCRUM environments. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems, mentoring developers, and leveraging modern tools such as GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development technologies to improve efficiency and innovation. Experience within the Life Insurance domain is considered a strong asset.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable applications using C#, .NET Core/Framework, ASP.NET, EF/EF Core, and LINQ
- Build and optimize SQL Server schemas, queries, stored procedures, and performance-tuned solutions
- Write and maintain unit tests, automated tests, and technical documentation
- Use AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot to enhance code quality and efficiency
- Participate in SCRUM ceremonies and Agile delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver aligned solutions
- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and security practices
- Support production environments including troubleshooting and long-term reliability improvements
- Contribute to DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing practices
Qualifications Required:
- 5–8+ years hands-on software development experience
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core/Framework, ASP.NET, EF/EF Core, LINQ
- Advanced MS SQL Server expertise
- RESTful API design and integration experience including authentication and reliability patterns
- Agile SCRUM experience
- Experience using GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted development tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Assets:
- Life Insurance industry experience
- DevOps / CI/CD experience
- Strong communication and mentoring ability
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$78.00 and CA$88.00
