Chromatograph Technician

Location: Houston, TX  Onsite
Assignment: 6-Month Contract to Hire
 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Chromatograph Technician to provide technical support for field technicians and assist with chromatograph testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and training.

This is an essential role with an immediate need. The position will initially be a 6-month contract with the potential to transition into a full-time position based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for field chromatographs
  • Work with ABB and Daniel/Emerson chromatograph systems
  • Perform gas analysis using various laboratory chromatographs
  • Test, troubleshoot, and support field measurement equipment
  • Provide technical training to field personnel
  • Present technical information and training materials to groups
  • Assist with laboratory activities and technical projects
  • Provide occasional after-hours phone support
  • Travel as needed to support field operations
  • Work independently with minimal supervision

Top Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with ABB chromatographs
  • Experience with Daniel/Emerson chromatographs
  • Strong overall gas chromatography experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting field technicians or field measurement equipment
  • Laboratory operations and gas analysis experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
