Description

• Education & Foundation: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline with experience delivering large-scale enterprise IT solutions.
• Cloud & Platforms: Expertise in OpenShift/Kubernetes for containerized deployments; experience with AWS services (Lambda, SQS, S3) is an asset.
• Enterprise Integration: Advanced experience with Apache Camel, MuleSoft, Enterprise Java, REST APIs, and data transformation technologies (JSON/XML). Experience designing, developing, and supporting MuleSoft integration flows, APIs, and reusable integration services in enterprise environments is strongly preferred.
• Ecosystem Knowledge: Experience integrating enterprise applications, including CRM, ERP, asset management, training management, document management, and regulatory/compliance systems.
• Data & Reliability: Strong SQL skills and knowledge of fault-tolerant integration patterns, including retries, dead-letter queues (DLQ), monitoring, and data consistency approaches.
• Modern DevOps: Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, source control, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Architecture & Design: Ability to design complex integration solutions, map data flows, and produce clear architectural and technical documentation. Experience applying integration patterns and API-led connectivity principles in MuleSoft-based architectures is an asset.
• Business Translation: Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical integration specifications.
• Collaborative Leadership: Ability to work across multiple teams, facilitate technical discussions, and resolve data ownership, governance, and integration challenges

Assignment Duties:

• Collaborates with business and technical inter-divisional staff and professional services to deliver and sustain API development and integration solutions through the life cycle and reports progress to manager, stakeholders and team members and ensures successful delivery of solutions adhering to project management methodology
• Determines requirements, analyzes and recommends feasible options, designs, builds and/or codes, acquires, tests, and implements enterprise information structures and applications, to meet critical City-wide and divisional business objectives and to provide a scalable enterprise solution
• Applies technical expertise to recommend, develop and maintain corporate policies, procedures and standards that are consistent with legislation to ensure enterprise information and applications integrity
• Applies technical expertise to ensure security, privacy and quality assurance requirements are implemented in a manner that delivers business requirements and is consistent with MFIPPA and legislation, thereby ensuring the integrity of complex enterprise information and applications
• Develops and/or applies complex business and application models, information structures, data models, data schemas, technical program code, network and security interfaces, data and application design as governed by architectural frameworks, technology standards, information policies and legislative requirements

Deliverables

• Prepare requirements specification, technical documentation (system architecture, design documents, and technology stack descriptions), user documentation.
• Prepare database schema, entity-relationship, and data flow diagrams.
• Prepare test plans, test cases, scenarios, and results documents.
