We are seeking a hands-on Global Systems Administrator – Manufacturing & Core Infrastructure to provide dedicated IT/OT and infrastructure support across two manufacturing facilities in Chester, South Carolina.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing technology professional who enjoys being hands-on, visible on the plant floor, and taking ownership of a complex technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day on-site support, administration, and optimization of manufacturing/OT systems and core infrastructure across both Chester manufacturing facilities.
  • Troubleshoot plant technology, servers, data-centre or cloud infrastructure, and network-related issues with a focus on maintaining manufacturing uptime and resiliency.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams, plant stakeholders, global IT, and approximately 3–4 external vendors and systems integrators.
  • Support and deliver smaller infrastructure and manufacturing-system projects across both facilities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the plants' specialized technology environment and document that knowledge for the broader team.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and integrators responsible for implementing and supporting plant technology solutions.
  • Support the standardization, improvement, and modernization of the manufacturing technology environment.
  • Participate in an after-hours support rotation of approximately one week in every three, covering approximately 5:00 p.m.–2:00 a.m. ET before support transitions to the European team.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Approximately 10 years of relevant experience across IT infrastructure, systems administration, manufacturing technology, or a related technical environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience supporting manufacturing/plant IT or Operational Technology (OT) environments.
  • Practical experience working with Siemens and/or Rockwell manufacturing/OT platforms. Experience with both is strongly preferred.
  • Strong systems administration and core infrastructure capabilities across data-centre and/or cloud environments.
  • Experience with industrial networking and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and prioritize plant uptime and operational continuity.
  • Experience coordinating with third-party technology vendors, systems integrators, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation and knowledge-transfer capabilities.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $73,000 and $77,000
