About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Analyst, Executive Compensation to support the design, governance, and execution of executive compensation and incentive programs across a large, complex global organization.
This is a high-visibility role operating at the intersection of Human Resources, Finance, Strategy, and Corporate Governance. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders and key business stakeholders to support annual incentive and equity programs, compensation analysis, financial modeling, benchmarking, and ongoing program improvement.
The position offers an excellent opportunity for an analytical professional to develop deeper expertise in executive compensation while gaining exposure to senior-level compensation decisions within a sophisticated global environment.
This position follows a 5-day, in-office schedule in Toronto.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration and execution of annual bonus, incentive, and equity compensation programs.
- Manage employee eligibility and compensation data associated with annual incentive and equity programs.
- Partner with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to identify relevant financial and non-financial KPIs and performance targets.
- Track performance against established targets and prepare clear reporting and analysis for senior leadership.
- Analyze compensation surveys, peer data, benchmarking information, and other market intelligence to support compensation program design and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain complex compensation and financial models for scenario planning, pay-for-performance analysis, and financial impact assessments.
- Support executive compensation benchmarking and the development of compensation recommendations.
- Contribute to compensation governance processes and the preparation of materials used to support senior leadership decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve compensation processes, reporting, and analytics.
- Utilize HR technology, analytics tools, automation, and responsible AI-enabled solutions to improve productivity and streamline compensation processes.
- Work collaboratively across HR, Finance, Strategy, and other business functions.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience within Compensation, Total Rewards, HR Analytics, Finance, Strategy, FP&A, or a comparable analytical function.
- Superior analytical skills and strong financial acumen.
- Advanced Excel skills, including experience developing and maintaining complex financial or compensation models.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business-related discipline such as Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Ability to understand and analyze financial and non-financial business performance metrics.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong judgment and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex analysis and recommendations clearly to business stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Strong business acumen and ability to navigate a large, complex organization.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Candidates may come from Executive Compensation, Broad-Based Compensation, Total Rewards, Finance, Strategy, FP&A, HR Analytics, or similar analytical backgrounds.
Direct executive compensation experience is valuable but is not necessarily required. Candidates with strong financial modeling, analytical capabilities, business acumen, and senior stakeholder experience who are interested in developing deeper executive compensation expertise are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP) designation, or progress toward certification.
- Experience with compensation benchmarking databases such as Radford, Mercer, WTW, or Salary.com.
- Experience with equity administration platforms such as Solium or Fidelity.
- Exposure to annual incentive, equity, or executive compensation programs.
- Familiarity with AI and automation tools, including ChatGPT and/or Claude.
- Experience improving or automating analytical and compensation-related processes.
Compensation
Base Salary: $85,000–$100,000
Annual Bonus Target: 15% of base salary
Additional compensation may be available depending on the organization's applicable incentive and long-term compensation programs.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$85,000 and CA$100,000
