Position Overview

We are seeking a UI/UX Developer to support the implementation of a major customer facing website redesign and the development of new digital customer experiences.

The successful candidate will translate approved wireframes, mockups and design recommendations into production ready, accessible front end code within an existing enterprise Sitecore CMS environment.

The resource will also design and develop a responsive web application that displays real time information and service alerts across multiple form factors, including desktop, mobile, kiosk and large format digital displays.

This is a hands on development position requiring a strong combination of front end development, UI/UX implementation, accessibility and responsive design experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement an approved enterprise website redesign within Sitecore CMS.

• Translate wireframes, mockups and design specifications into production ready front end code.

• Build and extend reusable UI components and contribute to shared design systems.

• Develop responsive interfaces across desktop, mobile, kiosk and large format displays.

• Integrate front end applications with real time data feeds and APIs.

• Ensure interfaces comply with AODA and WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility standards.

• Perform accessibility, usability, performance and cross browser/device testing.

• Support deployment, production readiness, defect resolution and knowledge transfer.

• Develop and maintain technical and design documentation.

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, QA resources and other technical and business stakeholders.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a UI/UX Developer or Front End Developer implementing customer facing websites.

• Demonstrated portfolio of shipped responsive web interfaces covering UX design and front end implementation.

• Strong hands on experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Experience with a modern front end framework such as React.

• Experience implementing front end solutions within an enterprise CMS environment, with Sitecore strongly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of AODA and WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility requirements, including ARIA, keyboard navigation and screen reader compatibility.

• Experience designing and developing interfaces for multiple screen sizes and form factors.

• Experience with Figma, component libraries, design tokens and design systems.

• Experience integrating front end applications with real time APIs or data feeds.

• Experience with front end performance optimization and cross browser/device testing.

• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.

Nice to Have

• Hands on Sitecore CMS development experience, including templates, components and personalization.

• Digital signage, kiosk or passenger information display experience.

• WCAG 2.1 or 2.2 experience.

• Git, front end build tools and CI/CD experience.

• Usability testing and user research experience.

• Customer journey mapping and service design experience.

• Public sector, municipal or transportation industry experience.
