SAP Functional Consultant (QA Lead)
Description of Assignment
Reporting to the Manager SAP Solution Planning & Delivery, the Lead ERP Application Specialist (QA Lead) will be responsible to lead and perform QA related activities for the  implementation of the Solution, utilizing existing MM and WM business processes from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA to mitigate the planned endof-life of SAP ECC in 2027 capital projects and operational initiatives.

Assignment Duties

The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
•            Implements detailed plans and recommends policies/procedures regarding program specific requirements.
•            Define and execute the overall SAP testing strategy, test approach, scope, schedule, and resource plan.
•            Create Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Data in test environment and defect management for usability, functionality, and performance testing.
•            Lead end-to-end testing activities including SIT, UAT, regression, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
•            Review business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs to ensure adequate test coverage.
•            Develop and review test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, and expected results.
•            Manage test execution, defect identification, prioritization, triage, retesting, and closure.
•            Lead daily/weekly defect review and QA status meetings with business and technical stakeholders.
•            Establish and maintain requirements traceability and test coverage metrics.
•            Track testing progress, risks, dependencies, defects, and quality KPIs and provide regular status reporting.
•            Coordinate QA activities across onshore/offshore teams, SAP functional consultants, developers, business users, and vendors.
•            Support cutover, mock go-live, data migration validation, production deployment, and post-go-live testing.
•            Identify opportunities for test automation and improve QA processes and standards.
•            Mentor QA analysts and establish consistent testing practices across projects.
•            Ensure testing complies with organizational quality, security, audit, and documentation standards.
•            Liaise with the business stakeholders, project managers, technical and functional
•            resources for all QA and test activities.
•            Verify and validate applications and documentation based on standards for Software Development and effective QA implementation in all phases of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
•            Leads IT initiatives by following the systems development life cycle (SDLC) approach and successfully manages all the phases of initiation, planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of the Enterprise applications.
•            Prepares documentation detailing the processes followed in the Enterprise
Applications Systems and assists in the establishment of policies and procedures.
•            Plans and develops short- and long-term work packages.
•            Plans, establishes priorities, monitors, and adjusts work to accomplish goals impacting the City’s divisions including projects that affect the City’s operation, Agencies, Boards and Commissions as required through new implementations or upgrades.
•            Develops and maintains professional relationships with division personnel by providing advice and guidance on the use of the Enterprise Applications Systems.
•            Ensures integrity and security of City’s confidential data, records, reports, and sensitive information in accordance with corporate policy and SAP standards.
 
Qualifications
Your application for the role of Lead ERP Application Specialist (SAP QA Lead) should describe your qualifications as they relate to:
•            Post-Secondary education in Computer Science, or a related discipline or the approved equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
•            Preference to Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Master of Business Administration or the approved equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
•            10+ years of experience in software/SAP testing, with significant experience in a QA Lead or Test Lead role.
•            Considerable experience leading testing for SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, or transformation projects.
•            Strong understanding of SIT, UAT, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
•            SAP QA testing experience with SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI/CO, WM/EWM in ECC and S/4HANA
•            Strong experience validating integration between SAP EWM/WM and S/4HANA modules, including MM, SD, FI/CO, Funds Management and other upstream/downstream applications.
•            Strong defect management and test management experience.
•            Experience developing and implementing SAP test automation approaches using tools such as Worksoft, UFT/QTP or Tricentis, along with SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Solution Manager, Jira and HP ALM/Quality Center for test management.
•            Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation or migration projects.
•            Experience with data migration, conversion and reconciliation, including source-to-target validation, record counts, master/transactional data, transformation rules, financial balances and post-migration validation.
•            Hands on experience in Fiori and BTP integrations, including APIs/OData services, inbound/outbound interfaces, payloads, mappings, transformations, middleware processing and exception/error handling.
•            Ability to understand, analyze and triage the daily defect status to the Project Management Office and Stakeholders.
•            Experience leading and mentoring QA teams and coordinating business, functional, technical and vendor resources; experience delivering SAP programs within government, Crown corporation, municipal or other public-sector environments is preferred.
•            Demonstrated experience supporting SAP cutover and release readiness activities, including mock go-live, data migration validation, production deployment, post-go-live validation, and hyper care support

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$85.00 and CA$95.00
