Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) – E
Location: Abbotsford, BC (Hybrid)   
Estimated Duration: Fulltime

Description
 We are seeking a qualified and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Avionics (AME-E) to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing aircraft electrical and avionics systems in compliance with Transport Canada regulations and company standards.
 
Major Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of aircraft avionics systems and components including navigation, communication, radar, and autopilot systems.
  • Interpret technical drawings, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other documentation.
  • Complete all documentation and logbook entries accurately and in accordance with Transport Canada (TC) and company policies.
  • Ensure all avionics work is carried out in accordance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).
  • Collaborate with other AMEs, engineers, and technical staff to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer or Maintenance Manager.

 
Qualifications

  • Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (approved by TCA or the applicable governing body)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with avionics systems on [specific aircraft types or categories if applicable].
  • Strong understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with modern avionics systems including GPS, FMS, ADS-B, TCAS, and EFIS.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada and able to obtain and maintain required security clearances.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$32.99 and CA$44.73
