Position Title: Asset Recovery and Logistics Coordinator
Position Overview:
Our Client seeks an Asset Recovery and Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize the reuse, sale, and disposal of surplus, obsolete, and end-of-life materials and equipment. This role serves as the focal point for internal stakeholders, coordinating logistics, customs, and surplus asset recovery. The position supports multiple business lines and jurisdictions, ensuring efficiency, revenue generation, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison for surplus material redeployment and external disposition.
- Build relationships with 3rd-party vendors specializing in marketing and selling surplus assets.
- Develop processes to improve visibility and reuse of surplus materials.
- Support freight and logistics needs, resolving service interruptions and managing customs issues.
- Coordinate donations of surplus materials with community relations.
- Negotiate, issue, and manage contracts for asset sales or disposal.
- Collaborate with accounting to manage invoicing, payments, and financial tracking.
- Report and track asset recovery revenues and activities.
- Train internal stakeholders on asset recovery processes.
Role Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma.
- 5+ years of supply chain experience in pipelines, midstream, or oil and gas.
- Proficiency in SAP, including inventory functions.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Customer-focused with effective problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
Preferred:
- University degree.
- Certification or enrollment in a supply chain program (SCMP, CPIM, etc.).
- Experience in materials management, warehousing, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
