Overview
Our client  is seeking a senior-level Business Analyst / Project Manager to support small to medium-sized Cyber Security projects within the Enterprise Security & Architecture team. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of Business Analysis, Project Management, and Project Administration experience, along with a strong IT background and exposure to security and infrastructure initiatives.

Business Analysis

  • Elicit requirements from business stakeholders and develop detailed requirements for system acquisition, development, and enhancement projects.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and business process redesign activities.
  • Analyze and refine business requirements.
  • Provide recommendations and enhancement opportunities from a business perspective.
  • Coordinate agreement on requirements across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Develop benefits documentation supporting proposed solutions.
  • Perform business process analysis and modeling.
  • Support solution assessment and validation.

Requirements Definition

  • Prepare detailed application, interface, data conversion, and technical requirements documentation.
  • Define acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct peer reviews of design documentation.
  • Assess impacts to operations, maintenance, and service levels.
  • Ensure requirements address processing, output, backup, and restoration needs.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Create and maintain testing strategies and test plans.
  • Develop system integration and user acceptance test cases.
  • Create and prioritize test scenarios.
  • Develop and execute manual test scripts.
  • Lead test data preparation activities.
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Manage defects and enhancements.
  • Lead test team and defect review meetings.
  • Produce test status reports and test summary reports.
  • Support transition to operations and knowledge transfer activities.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with:
    • Business stakeholders
    • Project Managers
    • Solution Architects
    • Developers
    • IT&S Resources
    • Third-party vendors and partners
  • Provide effective communication and requirements management throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications & Experience
Certifications

  • CBAP Certification (or equivalent)
  • Prosci Certification

Experience & Skills

  • Working knowledge of Project Management best practices.
  • Strong understanding of complex business processes and business rules.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
  • General knowledge of:
    • Application development
    • Databases
    • System design
  • Strong testing experience.
  • Proven documentation experience.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Experience writing and maintaining test strategies and test plans.
  • Experience creating and prioritizing test scenarios.
  • Experience developing and executing manual test scripts.
  • Experience logging and managing defects and enhancements.
  • Procurement document experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$85.00 and CA$100.00
