Position Title: Capital Markets – IT Project Manager
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Business group: Regulatory and Business Initiatives Group/ Global Banking and Markets
Project: This individual has been supporting an ongoing ISO project, and continuity is critical to maintain delivery timelines and mitigate operational risk. The contractor will ensure uninterrupted progress.

Contributes to the overall success of the Regulatory and Business Initiatives Group globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of Global Banking and Markets business strategies and objectives and in compliance with all relevant regulations. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities
Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Build understanding of Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture to make effective decisions.
Lead end to end delivery planning of assigned project(s) like ideation / interpretation of business needs, business case approval, establish project governance, implementation plan and transition to BAU including budgeting & resourcing.
Influence the decision-making process to ensure alignment to business priorities, strategic technology architecture and resource allocation for assigned project(s).
Works independently and exercises judgement based on precedents, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
Impacts program design, risk and delivery across business areas or subfunctions supported.
Manage governance forums as required with primarily business stakeholders, technology partners and other support functions.
Responsible for interactions with all key stakeholders from business, risk, operations & technology teams including stakeholders in different geographic locations.
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Represents client effectively when involved with external 3rd parties, either regulators, vendors or at industry meetings
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with client’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Project Management experience with Technology and Strategic implementations
Must have skills:
8-10 years of experience as a Project Manager or related financial industry or regulatory experience
5+ years of experience in regulatory projects (example: ISO, SWIFT) as a project management
5+ years – Experience of working within change management programs
Experience of managing senior stakeholders / running meetings/ preparing presentations is crucial for this role
Ability to use Microsoft Office – Advanced excel and PowerPoint. Power BI is an asset
Nice to have:
Previous have experience in capital markets project management
Previous exp with Settlements and derivatives for ISO standards
Soft Skills Required:
Very strong communication skills, ability to work with all levels of stakeholders including executive levels.
Solid stakeholder management skills
Highly motivated and result oriented
Strong collaboration skills with facilitating and coordination skills is critical
Detail-oriented
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree level or above education, ideally in business, financial or technology
Must have or working towards their PMP certification
Best VS. Average Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a strong Project manager with recent experience with regulatory projects (example: ISO, SWIFT). Excellent communication skills with proven experience with managing senior stakeholders / running meetings/ preparing presentations is crucial.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$100.00 and CA$110.00
