Job Title: Data Analyst – Maximo
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Description of Assignment
Our client in the municipal sector is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to support the critical migration of asset data from Cartegraph (TSAM) to IBM Maximo. This project aims to ensure accurate and efficient transfer of asset information, enabling improved asset management and operational efficiency within IBM Maximo.
Duties
Data Analysis and Assessment:
• Conduct thorough analysis of asset data within the Cartegraph (TSAM) database to understand data structure, quality, and relationships.
• Identify data discrepancies, inconsistencies, and potential migration challenges.
• Assess data quality and develop data cleansing strategies.
Data Mapping and Transformation:
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to define data mapping requirements between Cartegraph (TSAM) and IBM Maximo. • Develop and document detailed data mapping specifications.
• Perform data transformation and cleansing activities to ensure data compatibility with IBM Maximo. Assist in the design of the overall ETL processes
Data Validation and Quality Assurance:
• Develop and execute data validation scripts and procedures to ensure data accuracy and completeness during migration.
• Conduct thorough data quality checks and resolve data issues.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate migrated data.
Documentation and Reporting:
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to data mapping, transformation, and validation processes.
• Provide regular progress reports and updates to project stakeholders.
• Assist in creating data migration related reports.
Collaboration:
• Work closely with Project Manager, Maximo SMEs, database administrators, and other project team members.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and address data-related concerns.
Qualifications
Education & Certification:
• Bachelor's Degree:
o A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data science, or a related field.
• Relevant Certifications: o Certifications in data analysis, database management, or related areas (e.g., SQL certifications) are a plus.
Core Technical Skills & Experience:
Database Proficiency: o Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis. o Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
o Understanding of database schemas, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
• Data Migration Expertise: o Proven experience in data migration projects, preferably involving large datasets.
o Familiarity with data migration methodologies and best practices. o Experience with data mapping, transformation, cleansing, and validation.
• Data Analysis & Quality Assurance: o Ability to analyze complex datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and inconsistencies.
o Experience in developing and executing data quality checks and validation scripts.
o Knowledge of data quality metrics and reporting.
Software & Tool Proficiency:
o Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python).
o Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools (if applicable).
o Familiarity with IBM Maximo and Cartegraph (TSAM) is highly desirable, but not always required.
System Knowledge:
o Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and software quickly.
Project-Specific Skills & Knowledge (Nice-to-Have)
• Cartegraph (TSAM) Experience: o Direct experience working with Cartegraph (TSAM) data structures and functionalities.
o Understanding of Cartegraph (TSAM) data models and asset management concepts.
• IBM Maximo Experience:
o Familiarity with IBM Maximo data structures and asset management modules.
o Understanding of Maximo data import/export processes.
• Asset Management Knowledge:
o Understanding of asset management principles and practices.
o Familiarity with asset data structures and relationships.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$50.00 and CA$65.00
