Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Ottawa, ON (Hybrid)
    
Estimated Duration: 6 Months

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team and help drive automation, scalability, and efficiency across our cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cloud infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD pipelines, with hands-on experience in AWS. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement reliable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that accelerate software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments, testing, and monitoring.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform.
  • Manage and support AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS) and contribute to best practices in scalability and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with developers and data engineers to deliver cloud-native solutions that meet business needs.
  • Implement cloud governance, security, and monitoring to ensure reliability and compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement in release management and DevOps practices.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering.
  • Proven expertise with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services; familiarity with Azure environments is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with Databricks and data workflow automation.
  • Exposure to Azure Logic Apps, Microsoft Fabric, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud cost optimization strategies.
  • Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$50.00 and CA$90.00
