Job Title: Digital Solutions Architect

Location: Winnipeg, Calgary or Regina (Hybrid)
    
Estimated Duration: Fulltime

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on the implementation of long-term digital solutions that align with  strategic goals as well as interim tactical plans for managing and maintaining corporate solutions.

  • Define and document scalable, robust, and secure digital architectures tailored to requirements, including but not limited to business, infrastructure, application, security, data and service architectures.

  • Create comprehensive models to depict the as is, to be and transitional states of solutions.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on non-functional engineering requirements and security controls.

  • Work closely with other team members to support end to end traceability across the various level of models created for architecture and design.

  • Prepare technology solutions options and analysis recommendations to meet business needs.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement in digital solutions.

  • Provide mentoring and guidance to others on all aspects of solution architectures and IT technologies, with a focus on digital solutions.

  • Provide technical leadership to ensure technical integrity and consistency throughout a solution’s life-cycle stages.

  • Develop/support/evaluate RFI/RFPs and Total Cost of ownership (TCO) to support business cases.

  • Develop technology strategies, roadmaps, and patterns to support WCLCs Digital journey.

  • Provide input to the continuous improvement of Architecture processes and practices.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a computer-related discipline or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT and at least 5 years’ experience with enterprise-level solutions.

  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, Digital Architect, or similar role with a focus on digital transformation projects.

  • Strong knowledge and experience implementing digital technologies including Cloud Platforms, APIs and data management.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, working independently and within a team environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to self-manage multiple, concurrent priorities

  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies and lifecycles.

  • Experience with agile and DevSecOps practices/processes.

  • Demonstrated experience creating solution models and technical writing.

  • Experience with common IT architectural frameworks (TOGAF, COBIT, Zachman, SABSA, etc.).

  • Experience with Archimate is an asset.

  • Experience in business analysis and requirements gathering is an asset.

  • Knowledge of the Lottery and Gaming industry is also an asset.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$120,000 and CA$130,000
