About the role
- Design, deploy and maintain Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix architecture, PVS, and MCS.
- Hands on with all types of hypervisors primarily ESXi and Xen Server for hosting VDI virtual desktops.
- Resolve complex issues related to performance, system health, connectivity, application delivery, and VDI.
- Efficiently create virtual desktop images for all types of OS with industry standards including GPU requirements.
- Experience with Citrix virtual apps, provisioning VDAs, AD expansion and application migration
- Working with other technical and project teams to deploy new applications in staging and production environments.
- Devise strategy for migrating applications within on-premises, on-premises to cloud and from one cloud to another.
- Consult with all business units to gather requirements, design, configure and deploy hardware infrastructure systems and workflows.
- Virtual environment: Configure and maintain the VMware environment, including the remote sites and staging.
- Storage: Configure, deploy and administer all tiers of enterprise storage. Deal with hardware, maintenance and firmware updates, as well as troubleshooting and cabling.
- Servers: Configure, deploy and administer all servers from a hardware and OS level. Work with system administrators and broadcast engineers to troubleshoot hardware and OS issues.
- Maintain the hardware inventory database.
- Provide full support for Cloud Management service, and monitor and manage the services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with peers.
- Respond to any specific assignments as required.
- 24×7 availability via cell phone.
About You
What We Need From You:
- Candidate will have a diploma or degree in computer related field and 3 – 7 years relevant experience.
- Hands on with all aspects of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
- Expertise with VMware environments and the supporting hardware and software.
- Experience with Citrix environment performance tuning and monitoring
- Experience with Enterprise storage.
- Experience with SAN fabric configuration and support.
- Experience with Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure ,Google)
- Working knowledge of Enterprise backup environments is an asset.
- Proactive with exceptional troubleshooting skills.
- Collaborative, strong interpersonal skills and an exceptional team player.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$25.00 and CA$48.00
