Job Title: IT QA Specialist IV
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 12 Months
Overview:
We’re looking for a seasoned QA Automation Specialist to drive software quality across our Agile development lifecycle. In this role, you’ll lead the creation and execution of automated tests, analyze system requirements, and ensure defect-free deployments through regression testing and performance metrics. The ideal candidate combines deep testing expertise, scripting proficiency, and strong collaboration skills to continuously improve quality processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as UFT, Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business users to clarify requirements and verify software quality.

Perform regression, integration, and system testing to ensure code changes do not introduce defects.

Use tools like Azure DevOps, TestRail, or Jira to manage test cases, defects, and reporting.

Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data integrity in testing environments.

Track QA metrics and identify trends to recommend quality improvements.

Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

6+ years of QA automation experience with proven scripting skills (VBScript, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby).

Strong working knowledge of the SDLC, QA methodologies, and Agile development frameworks.

Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools.

Familiarity with Commercial Gas Transmission Pipeline Systems and cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure) is a plus.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $50.00 and $55.00
