Job Title: Java Architect III
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 12 Months
We are looking for a Java Architect to lead the design, development, and support of critical commercial applications for Natural Gas Transmission and Midstream operations. This role requires a strong technical leader who can build scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions while driving collaboration across teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement enterprise-level solutions, including architecture, integration, and infrastructure.

Develop and maintain architectural standards, documentation, and reusable framework components.

Drive system performance, reliability, and compliance with security and business continuity standards.

Collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Provide leadership in issue resolution, process improvements, and adoption of emerging technologies.

Support production migrations and incident management, including after-hours as needed.
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
-
5+ years of technical experience in enterprise application development and architecture.

Expertise in Java development, object-oriented programming, Spring framework, design patterns, multithreading, and performance tuning.

Hands-on experience with Azure cloud (PaaS, IaaS, CDN).

Strong background in full SDLC practices, including CI/CD, code management, and unit testing.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferred Experience:
-
Knowledge of additional languages and frameworks (C#, Python, ASP.NET, etc.).

Microservices and API design, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).

DevOps practices with Git, Azure DevOps, Ansible.

Security-first design with compliance awareness (e.g., GDPR).

Familiarity with AI/ML integration and large-scale data management.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $70.00 and $75.00
