ROLE SUMMARY
Department Overview:
Learning and Development is responsible for the strategic direction and establishment of learning and performance enablement solutions to build capabilities for leaders and employees. The function ensures continuous development and supports business objectives through effective learning strategies.

Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager, Instructional Technology Development, the L&D Designer/Developer IV will design high-quality, blended learning and performance solutions aligned with business priorities.

The role includes developing media, graphics, simulations, and interactive web-based learning assets that strengthen employee capabilities and knowledge.
Meeting Time: Approximately 20–35%
Interaction: Internal colleagues, stakeholders and SMEs
Customer Data Access: No


MUST-HAVE HARD SKILLS
• 8+ years of instructional design/development experience
• Experience building complex (Level 4) simulations, videos and assessments
• Expert-level proficiency in Articulate Storyline 3 or 360 and Rise 360
• Strong creative and graphic design skills
• Expert-level proficiency in PowerPoint and Word; experience with Excel and Outlook
• Experience designing fully accessible solutions and testing with screen readers (e.g., JAWS) and keyboard navigation in accordance with WCAG 2.1


SOFT SKILLS
• Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
• Strategic thinking and strong business acumen
• Strong written and verbal communication skills


NICE-TO-HAVE
• Portfolio of instructional design and development work (Google Drive links not accessible)
• Experience with GoAnimate/Vyond, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Camtasia
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (Adobe Creative Cloud)
• Banking or Financial Institution experience
• Experience with Adobe Connect, WebEx, MS Teams
• Knowledge of learning consultation, needs analysis, program design and evaluation

 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$50.00 and CA$60.00
