Job Description:
Our client is looking for a Master Data Analyst to join their Calgary, AB Office
 
The position coordinates and executes day-to-day activities across the full master data lifecycle, including data creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of data quality. The analyst works closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure accurate, complete, and timely master data setup, enabling effective and efficient business operations.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Create and maintain master data objects (Material, Vendor, Service, Plant) using SAP, WinShuttle, Ariba, and MDM toolsets to support end-to-end supply chain and financial processes.
  • Collaborate with requestors to gather complete and accurate master data and vendor onboarding information for approval and system entry.
  • Manage intake requests with a strong customer service focus, ensuring timely communication, issue resolution, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Ensure accurate vendor setup, including banking details, tax information (W-8, W-9), payment terms, invoicing requirements, and procurement controls.
  • Apply fraud prevention controls by validating sensitive vendor data changes and adhering to strict governance and audit requirements.
  • Support high data integrity by performing data validation, duplicate checks, and completeness reviews prior to system entry.
  • Support monitoring to improve data quality through audits, data integrity checks, compliance reporting, and duplicate/obsolescence management.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve vendor-related issues such as incorrect setups, invoice mismatches, and data inconsistencies.
  • Partner with Procurement, Accounts Payable, Tax, and MDM teams to resolve issues and improve vendor and master data processes.
  • Leverage reporting and analytics to design and implement data maintenance cycles, proactively identifying gaps and driving data cleanup initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with MDM standards, governance frameworks, approval matrices, data dictionaries, and corporate policies.
  • Assist Analyze system data to ensure adherence to business processes and maintain a high standard of data quality.
  • Support master data initiatives, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system enhancements, and process design improvements.
  • Contribute with the development and maintenance of process documentation, training materials, and knowledge transfer resources for business users and team members.
  • Support vendor enablement initiatives, including Ariba and eCommerce integrations.
  • Conduct periodic audits and report on data accuracy, integrity, and compliance metrics.
  • Train business users and support cross-training initiatives to improve team capability and operational flexibility.

 
Minimum Qualifications:
 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong overall computer skills
  • Experience with SAP, LSMW/WinShuttle
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with a large volume of projects/initiatives within tight deadlines

 
Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
  • Supply Chain certification designation or active enrollment preferred (e.g., ASCM CPIM, CSCP, SCMA, SCMP).
  • SAP S/4HANA experience is considered an asset.
  • Power BI experience is considered an asset.
  • Fieldglass experience is considered an asset.
  • Work experience in a functional stream of supply chain
  • Maintenance planning, materials management or warehousing
  • Experience with training or user support

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$47.00 and CA$58.00
