Description of Assignment
The OpenText Developer will support our client’s Electronic Documents and Record Management Solution (EDRMS) project in the delivery of data migration into OpenText platform.
Our client in the public sector is using OpenText Content Server suite (OTCS) to develop a solution to manage their electronic records. The OpenText Content Suite Developer will use their technical skills and experiences with OpenText Content Server xECM v22.3 to ensure that releases of the solution meet or exceed the needs of their end client. It is important that the services be undertaken by an OpenText Developer who can demonstrate knowledge and experience in the Magellan Intelligent Integration Center
The OpenText Developer is required to assist with the planning and execution of assigned project tasks working closely with Technology Division and Enterprise Application Services (EAS) and Electronic Documents and Record Management Solution (EDRMS) teams.
Duties
Responsible for the data migration for the Solid Waste Management Services’ (SWMS) Electronic Documents and Record Management Solution (EDRMS):
• Design, create scripts with OpenText Magellan Integration Center v22.4 and Object Importer to ingest documents and metadata into OpenText Content Server.
• Responsible for data migration as per the CIS Model and Migration maps between OpenText Content Suite (OTCS) environments, i.e. Development to Staging environment, Staging to Training and Production environments.
• Create new and update existing CIS Models to reflect additional metadata categories and attributes as well as role groups needed to support business needs. Migrate CIS Models between OTCS environments, i.e. Development to Staging environment, Staging to Training and Production environments.
• Design and create required WebReports. Migrate WebReports from Development to Staging, Training and Production environments.
• Responsible for preparing the migration strategy, test plans, test cases/ scenarios and test result documents.
• Create technical migration documents.
• Develop CIS Model and Migration Maps for OpenText Migration.
• Responsible for testing data migration in the Development and Staging environment; provide fixes to bugs and issues reported by the QA testers, business users or the UAT testers, in each of the application environments.
• Design, create and test integrations between OTCS and other applications using RESTAPIs.
• Support new and update existing Community Information Security (CIS) Models to reflect additional metadata categories and attributes as well as role groups needed to support business needs.
• Configuration of other features, such as Smart UI widgets, Workflow etc.
• Transition of deliverables, documents, and knowledge transfer to Technology Services staff to assist with support and sustainment of the deliverables. Coach & mentor technical staff on the development, deployment and sustainment of OpenText Content Server based solution and knowledge transfer for sustainment tasks.
• Manage, deliver, and ensure quality using appropriate methodology.
• Report on status, risk management, budget/cost, success criteria and specific reporting as required.
Qualifications
• A minimum of 5+ years hands-on experience as a developer or data migration analyst in large projects in Government jurisdictions and/or large private sector organizations.
• Extensive experience as a developer in large, complex projects designing, developing, and deploying data migration solutions for OpenText Content ServerxECM 22.1.x or later versions.
• Experience must include development and configuration for OpenText Content Server, including OpenText Magellan Integration Center (OTIC) and Object Importer (OI).
• Design, create scripts with OpenText Magellan Integration Center and/or Object Importer to ingest documents and metadata into OpenText Content Server.
• Candidate is responsible for Data Migration as per the CIS Model and Migration maps between OpenText Content Suite (OTCS) environments, i.e. Development to Staging environment, Staging to Training and Production environments.
• Support and provide information for various types of technical tests (unit, functional, integration, system, regression, penetration, performance, and user acceptance testing) as required.
• Responsible for testing data migration in the Development and Staging environments, provide fixes to bugs and issues reported by the QA testers, business users or the UAT testers, in each of the application environments.
• Provide tracking, analysis and resolutions for defects/bugs and issues to ensure quality of software delivered.
• Experience to support new and/or update existing Community Information Security (CIS) Models to reflect additional metadata categories and attributes as well as role groups is preferred.
• Experience in configuration of other features, such as Workflow, Smart UI widgets is preferred.
• Provide documentation such as run book for migration, scripts to assist technical staff on the development, deployment and sustainment of OpenText Content Server based solution and knowledge transfer for sustainment tasks.
• Transition of deliverables, documents, and knowledge transfer to Technology Services staff to assist with support and sustainment of the deliverables.
• Ability to coach & mentor technical staff on development, deployment, and sustainment of OpenText Content Server based solutions.
• Excellent written, verbal communication skills, presentation skills communicating with business teams, technical teams, and vendors.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
