Our client is a Canadian telecommunications carrier. It is one of Canada’s leading broadband service providers.  For over a decade, they has been providing innovative fixed and mobile broadband solutions to rural customers.  Today, they offer voice and data communication services through it's unique national fibre, wireless and satellite network that connects Canadians.  We are looking to hire a Project Coordinator contractor resource for an initial 12 month term to start and with a high chance to be extended for more term.

The role: 
Project Coordinator – Fixed Wireless Network Construction
As a Project Coordinator within the Fixed Wireless Network team, you will support Construction and Project Managers in the delivery of multiple Fixed Wireless network builds across Western Canada.   Given the scale and complexity of these programs, this role requires close attention to budget, schedule, and quality to ensure successful project outcomes.

You will collaborate closely with Network Engineering teams to support the development of comprehensive network specifications and ensure new wireless projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role also requires close coordination with IP Operations and Field Operations teams to enable a smooth transition from construction to go live for new network infrastructure.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Fixed Wireless West Network.
Key responsibilities include:
•    Contribute as part of a cross functional team to support the planning, design, and implementation of Fixed Wireless network builds. 
•    Support the Project and Construction teams throughout the full lifecycle of Fixed Wireless design and construction programs. 
•    Track, monitor, and report on project budgets, schedules, and quality metrics. 
•    Assist with the creation of construction bills of materials (BOMs), including ordering, tracking, and reporting on material costs and delivery. 
•    Track and report on project specific KPIs as identified by internal teams and key stakeholders. 
•    Create and maintain new projects within the client’s internal project management systems. 
•    Establish project budgets in SAP and assign appropriate general ledger (GL) codes to project activities. 
•    Administer and maintain project SharePoint sites, ensuring all required documentation is stored in compliance with client’s standards. 
•    Perform other duties as required to support project delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess:
•    Engineering degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering, Technologist diploma (Electrical or Civil), or another relevant postsecondary degree or diploma. 
•    Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a telecommunications design, engineering, or construction environment; experience with large-scale Fixed Wireless deployments is a strong asset. 
•    Working knowledge of Fixed Wireless network construction methods, construction equipment, and fibreoptic network technologies for both outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) applications. 
•    Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering design and construction drawings. 
•    Demonstrated experience collaborating effectively with third-party engineering and construction vendors. 
•    Proven ability to work cross functionally with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery. 
•    Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail. 
•     Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 
•    Strong computer proficiency, including experience with Google Earth, QGIS, CAD software, and Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project. 
•    Certified associate in project management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an asset. 
•    Experience with SAP and QuickBase is an asset.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$30.00 and CA$40.00
