Senior D365 Developer – Finance & Operations (F&O)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Developer to lead technical design, architecture, development, and integrations across enterprise ERP implementations. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, strong X++ development skills, and proven experience delivering complex, scalable solutions in multi-entity environments.

This role requires both hands-on technical leadership and close collaboration with functional, architecture, and DevOps teams.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end technical design and solution architecture for D365 F&O implementations

  • Define development standards, best practices, and governance

  • Review and approve technical design documents (TDDs)

  • Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews

  • Ensure adherence to Microsoft extension-based development model (no over-layering)

Development & Customization

  • Develop complex customizations using X++

  • Design and implement:

    • Extensions (tables, forms, classes, enums, EDTs)

    • Batch jobs & services

    • Custom workflows

    • Security roles & policies

  • Develop advanced SSRS reports and document customizations

  • Optimize system performance and troubleshoot critical production issues

Integrations & Data Management

  • Architect and implement integrations using:

    • OData & Custom Services

    • REST/SOAP APIs

    • Azure Logic Apps

    • Service Bus

  • Lead data migration strategy using Data Management Framework (DMF)

  • Work with Dual-write and Dataverse integrations

  • Design and manage real-time and batch integrations

DevOps & Environment Management

  • Manage code branching and release pipelines in Azure DevOps

  • Support CI/CD implementation

  • Handle deployments across Tier 1–Tier 3 environments

  • Manage LCS assets and environment servicing

  • Lead upgrade and code migration projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 6–10+ years of ERP development experience

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with D365 F&O

  • Proven experience in:

    • Full lifecycle D365 F&O implementations

    • Multi-company and multi-currency environments

    • Complex integrations and data migration

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Retail modules

    • Security framework and role-based access control

    • Performance tuning & system optimization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with:

    • Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)

    • Azure Functions and microservices architecture

    • Global implementations

  • Microsoft certifications (MB-500 or equivalent)

  • Experience leading offshore/onshore development teams

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum enterprise environments

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$90.00 and CA$130.00
