Job Title: Sr. Project Controls Analyst

Location: North York, ON (Hybrid)
    
Estimated Duration: 12 months

 

Position is reporting to the Director Project Controls & Risk.

Key Job Functions
The incumbent participates in establishing and maintaining the company’s project cost
/control system;

  • Ensures PRISM G2 enterprise/project structure and project cost/schedule data is well maintained and up-to-date with the most current ECE projects information for accurate Enterprise Level and Project Level reporting, and users are well supported regarding PRISM G2 Project Controls processes as well as guided by and adhere to Project Controls standards and procedures.
  • The incumbent also ensures all required parties have appropriate levels of access to the projects, and user access requests are managed timely and accurately (administrator).
  • Generates Enterprise and Project cost variance and cost data analysis reports/ Dashboard/custom reports/templates for Project Managers and executive reporting to initiate corrective actions where necessary.
  • Reviews and analyzes the portfolio cost & schedule reports for performance, productivity and trends.
  • Supervises and mentor junior Project Control Specialists.
  • Develops & maintains a detailed, resource-loaded schedule in P6.

 

4.0 Required Staff and their Qualifications and Experience
Skills, Education and Experience Senior Project Controls Analysts with:
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of project controls practices including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Code of Accounts (COA), Project Life Cycle, Project Cost & Schedule Baseline, Project Change Management, Incurred vs Actuals, Estimate at Completion (EAC) calculations, Time-Phasing Forecast, Contingency & Escalation and their application in PRISM G2 (5-7 years of experience).
  • College and/or University degree in related field, OR applicable work experience
  • Applied knowledge of Project Management and Project Controls principles, including experience with concepts of PMBOK and AACE Recommended Practices
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Prism G2 (now Contruent) and Primavera P6
  • General understanding of database management as well as a high skill level in MS Excel.
  • Intermediate to advanced level experience in coordination and support of the PRISM G2 Procedures and Work Practices development.
  • Intermediate to advanced level experience in delivering in-house PRISM G2 User Training at multiple levels.
  • Intermediate to advanced level experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Organizational skills in order to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work site environment.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), and
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$60.00 and CA$90.00
