Job Title: Tax Accountant IV

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
    
Estimated Duration: 6 Months

Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Analyst to support U.S. federal, state, and local income tax compliance and reporting. This role focuses on corporate and partnership return preparation, tax analysis, and process improvement within a complex North American corporate structure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare federal, state, and foreign information income tax returns.

  • Calculate Subpart F and GILTI income, and support related reporting.

  • Work on combined/separate state returns, apportionment, and estimated payments.

  • Analyze fixed assets and tax depreciation using specialized systems.

  • Contribute to consolidated return processes and tax true-ups.

  • Perform tax basis reconciliations and maintain audit-ready documentation.

  • Leverage systems like Oracle Cloud, HFM, and SharePoint for data analysis and reporting.

  • Monitor tax legislation and identify compliance or planning opportunities.

  • Support e-filing processes and participate in ongoing process improvement efforts.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Accounting, or related field; CPA and/or Master’s preferred.

  • 7+ years of U.S. income tax experience, preferably in the energy sector.

  • Deep knowledge of federal and state income tax laws, and tax accounting principles.

  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with tax software such as Corptax and BNA Fixed Assets.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $78.00 and $83.00
