Job Title: Telecom/Technology Project Engineer

Location: San Antonio, TX (Hybrid)

Job Overview:

As one of the nation's top providers of telecom construction services and energy management solutions, they are seeking a highly skilled Telecom Project Manager (Construction) to join their dynamic team in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing telecom construction projects and possess excellent leadership and organizational skills to ensure successful project execution.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Telecom Project Manager (Construction), you will be responsible for managing telecom infrastructure projects from initiation through completion. You will ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while maintaining strong relationships with clients. You will be the “face” of our client for telecom clients, leading the execution of assigned projects and collaborating closely with internal teams, contractors, and clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Project Leadership: Contribute to the planning, execution, and closing of IoT/telecom construction projects. Ensure that all project milestones are achieved within the timelines and budgets set.

  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Team Coordination: Supervise and guide project teams, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and within specifications.

  • Site Management: Oversee the setup, execution, and completion of telecom installations at client sites. Ensure site readiness and adherence to project plans.

  • Material and Inventory Management: Coordinate with internal teams for inventory commitments and ensure that all necessary materials are ordered and delivered on schedule.

  • Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to the budget. Review invoices, manage change orders, and assist in the negotiation of pricing with vendors as necessary.

  • Submittals and Approvals: Review and approve project submittals and ensure that final documentation (including as-built drawings) is completed and delivered to the customer upon project completion.

  • Problem-Solving: Proactively manage any issues that arise during the project, such as delays, material shortages, or site challenges, and provide solutions to keep the project on track.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Education: College degree preferred, with a focus in construction management, engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in construction project engineering/project management, including overseeing site installations and managing client relationships.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Familiarity with project management software is a plus (e.g., Procore or Bluebeam).

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

  • Licenses: Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in telecom construction, including fiber optics, cable installations, and wireless systems.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $45.00 and $60.00
